From Classmates to Co-Founders

GlowNest & Co. began long before it became a business. Our story starts with two high school friends who have known each other for over 30 years. 

Life got busy and our paths rarely crossed. Years later, we reconnected through motherhood. Our youngest children were born in the same year, simple mum-and-baby conversations naturally evolved into discussions about family, work and the desire to create something of our own. 

In 2022, co-founder Pooi Yan lost her job and chose to focus on her young family. When she was ready to return to work, her heart kept pulling her toward building something herself rather than returning to the corporate world.

Co-founder Yin Yin, had always dreamed of creating something of her own. Balancing a full-time job and a busy family, that dream stayed quietly in the background—waiting for the right moment. 

In 2025, Pooi Yan asked Yin Yin a simple question: “Do you want to go on an adventure together?” Yin Yin said yes immediately. After many late-night discussions, coffee chats and extensive research, GlowNest & Co. was born.
